Showing off his talent......

Another ping pong enthusiast, helping me to try the shutter speed (freezing action). Look at the ping pong ball - hanging up in the air. Not bad huh? So Jep... satisfied already?

Looking out the sea

Beach football

This photo was taken using Av setting of F/11 and ISO speed 100. The small aperture is to capture a sharp foreground (the shoes) and background (the poles and sea). Notice the reflection? It becomes an interesting element in the picture.

Texting at the beach

Piinnnnngggg Poooonnnnng......

Sorry madir for taking so long to upload this "action-packed" photo of yours. I am proud say the result is satisfying (at least for newbies like me). I was trying the speed shutter (Tv) on my camera to freeze action. Though, I do not like the shadow created by the flash. I have to be contented with it due to my limitations in skills and knowledge on this.

Silhouette - my baby girl

I could have asked my daughter to do a different more meaningful pose to complement the sunset... that would have made a better silhouette picture. After all, photography is about imagination and perception.

Solitary

Taken at Piasau Camp beach. The sun was about to set. I was not aware of the object at the far distance until I preview the all photos that I have taken. It has made a cool addition to the picture. Don't you think?

Sunset, takes my breath away!

As I was rummaging through my collections of photos, I came across this picture of a sunset. Taken not so long ago when my family & I were vacationing in Bintulu. No special tricks yet as I was a newbie. I have read through many articles on sunsets photography, and I admit I am not sure whether I can really learn (let alone master) the tricks to take breathtaking sunsets. But I will sure try. Next time, maybe. In the meantime, I am quite contented with this pic. Aaaahhh!!!!!

Ciku oh ciku!!!

>> Thursday, January 29, 2009

The ciku was taken using macro mode. Focus was on it. Because the background was at a distance, the blurry effect was achieved. Ummmm delicious!

Night Photography

My 1st attempt in night photography. The color was vivid and lively but the camera shake made it blurry. A tripod should be able to solve the problem. The photo was taken using the landscape mode. Will try the manual mode once I learn the skills of taking night photos.. ehem!!

d-a-r-t-s a game that i can never play.

Photo taken by Jeff Syiru using canon EOS 450D. Manual selection of AF point.

A dreary afternoon in Miri
